Solitaire, Khomas, Namibia
We headed out from the guest house at 10:30 and went to the bank, supermarket and started our 275 km drive to Solitaire. We took the whole day and stopped several times on the way for pictures. It was a wonderful sunny day, with blue skies and hardly anyone on the roads.
Especially when we took the C24, it was remarkably quiet, surrounded by golden fields and mountains all around us
. We saw several groups of baboons on the side of the road, wart hogs, some kind of deer, and a group of 7 Zebras.
Arrived around 6:00 PM, just in time for drinks while watching the sunset.
Had a nice supper and enjoyed a bottle of red to celebrate the beginning of our African Adventure.
