Long Drive

Outjo, Otjozondjupa, Namibia
Yesterday (April 1) we packed, checked out and drove for 650 km to reach Outja for one night at the Etotongwe Lodge. It took us 9 hours but Lucie and Francois split the driving. We also had a packed lunch so all we needed to do was find a tree on the side of the road and have a little picnic. On our way we really lucked out, we saw a big family of helmeted guinea fowl cross the road in front of us, a Mountain Zebra run along side the car, a few Steenboks, and a group of 4 cheetahs that also crossed the road in front of us.

Upon our arrival we enjoyed a poolside drink and made plans for the next few days . We will do some grocery shopping before heading into the Etosha park and fill up the car with petrol. We are all a little slow this morning (April 2) after the long ride in the car. Had breakfast and took our time enjoying several coffees.

We do not have any internet in the park so do not worry if you don't hear from me. As soon as we get out of the park we will reconnect and update the blog. Talk to you soon. A big hug to Irene and Guy. XOX
