From Camp to Camp

Okaukuejo, Otjozondjupa, Namibia
We are now in Camp Okaukuejo, still in the Etosha National Park for our last two nights. We do not have internet here either so you will be getting a few entries at once. The place is really one of the nicest we have stayed in, it is called a Premier Waterhole Chalet of which there are only five. The water hole is directly In front of our two storey chalet and observing the wildlife directly from the balcony is just amazing. There is also a hide that Francois spent most of our first day in.

On our drive from Halali camp to Okaukuejo we saw some more wildlife but not as much as we were hoping to see . We are about a month too early for the peak viewing season.
At our water hole, we have seen a big group of Zebras, blue Wildebeest, Black-faced Impalas, Springboks (alias Starbucks for Louise), turtles and an injured hyena.

Today April 6, we slept in and relaxed after a nice long breakfast, sipping our coffee while Francois took off for the blind, in order to get some action shots from the water hole. The three of us then went back to our Premier Chalet to get changed for the pool and spent a few hours reading and sunbathing.
It's our last supper tonight and we might have some wild meat for dinner. Yesterday, the others all had Kudu steak. The enjoyed it so much they are hoping it is part of the menu again tonight.

Tomorrow (April 7) we leave right after breakfast, as another long drive awaits us to reach the town of Opuwo.
