Cape Cross Point

Erongo, Namibia
This morning we enjoyed a late breakfast and took a short walk to the beach which was just across the street. We enjoyed watching the crashing waves and wind compete with each other as a sand storm started to pick up around 10:00 am.

We all took time to do some washing, short siestas, reading or all of the above . Later this afternoon, we planned to go to Cape Cross Point to see the colony of Cape fur seals, it is estimated to be about 100,000 and counting.
The smell was something else, we all wore scarves over our faces to try and mask the odours but the images where well worth the trip. The animals were very close to the boardwalk and some where under it to get some shade. Many pups were seen feeding or calling for their mothers and adults could be seen and heard disputing their territory.
