Morning Hike

Today, Francois and I got up to see the sunrise, lighting up the mountains closest to Chameleon Mountain. We met Lucie for breakfast at 7:15 and left around 8:15 for our hike. Louise decided to take it easy, sleep in and read, this turned out to be a good idea. It was a long three hour hike at a fast pace. I started my walk with soaking wet shoes and socks. The guides made us cross the dam wall which was partially immersed. I finished the walk but my feet were water logged and sore. Francois also finished with a few blisters. Lucie on the other hand had her water proof hiking boots and was very happy Martin treated them before her departure.

Went back to the waterfall rock to see the Egrets fly back for the night in hopes of getting a few pictures . Yesterday, they passed at around 4:35 and so we showed up a little earlier today and set up our camp chairs. Francois was able to take a few pictures but Louise and I missed out. Lucie arrived a little later but still got to see them as they flew in to roost for the night.

Saw a young boy and his zebu while we waited for the egrets.
