Glacis, Mahe Island, Seychelles Islands
The perfect time to rest, read and relax, we have had rain showers for the past few days with thunder storms at night. We still were able to go swimming (at the hotel pool) and went for a four kilometre walk and found a supermarket. We stocked up on snacks, ramen soups for light meals, a few beers and ginger ales to make a panache. I was never really crazy about beer but discovered this mix in Namibia thanks to Louise. The good wine being hard to find in both Namibia and Madagascar, this was a nice alternative. Just what we need for the sunsets on the balcony. We also hopped in a local bus to return to our hotel, and this was quite the experience. The driver, thought he was a formula one pilot. I now know why they have handles on the back of the bus seats. I quickly noticed that no passengers got out of their seats before the bus came to a complete stop. No kidding, if they did they would have gone threw the windshield as he stopped so abruptly.

I have read almost half of the Kathy Reich book that Lucie lent me and might be finished before we leave Mahe . I must find a few more paper books for the beach. Had lunch and supper at the hotel room.
