Today first we drove around Middleton a bit, the little town (that's not so little any more) where I grew up. This is the house my dad designed and built where I lived until I was 9.
Then the apartment from 9 until high school.
The high school where I went - then there were 650 students, now nearly 3000.
And here is the neat old downtown of Middleton including the Mustard Museum.
We had lunch with my sister Barbara, and then she and I went all over southwest Wisconsin shopping. We hit 4 shops - three of them worthwhile. One was mostly an embroidery shop - a write your name on your hat kind of place with some really old quilt fabric - but they had a great ice cream shop nearby so it was okay. Here are photos of Quilters Compass, Patchwork and Petals and Saving Thyme.
