Vacation is Almost Over

Marianna, Florida, United States
On the 25th we flew from Lima to Miami, and spent the weekend with Sergio, Damarys and Bella. Here is the front of their house. As you can see, they have a bit of a bug problem.
Here are some other photos of their beautiful house.
There is a storage shed that Sergio hoped to claim for a workshop, but Bella beat him to it and made it into a clubhouse. Grandpa went out and crashed the meeting of the "club" - there are 5 members - just the right number - and no one is the boss. I told Bella I have a similar club - 5 members - and we all think we are the boss, but no one else pays attention to us, so actually no one is the boss. We are all pretty bossy though.
Friday we stayed home and played games with Bella while Sergio and Damarys went out. Saturday, David and Moises Hernando - the sons of Magda and Pepe who we stayed with in La Molina, David's girlfriend, and Moises' son Stefano, came for a cookout. Armando was the chef, and after eating there was a rousing Sapo game. For those who don't know, Sapo means frog in Spanish, and a Sapo game is a box with several holes, one has a brass frog mounted over it. You throw brass discs at the box - each hole is worth points, and if you can get the disc in the frog's mouth you get the most points. I have actually done it a couple of times - total luck of course.
Sunday after mass we went to a little outdoor restaurant in Coconut Grove right on the water and had lunch. There was this game, where you swung a rope with a ring and tried to hook the ring. Damarys, Armando and Bella did it like they were pros. Then we drove around awhile, onto Key Biscayne and around the port of Miami.
Today we said goodbye to the kids, and headed home. Tomorrow it's back to real life. Except being retired, real life isn't a whole lot different than being on vacation, except we sleep at home instead of hotels. Hasta la vista until the next vacation!!!!
