After breakfast we went to Disney's Hollywood Studios. The whole place looked like South Beach to me, but I guess that's what Hollywood used to look like too - art deco buildings everywhere.
We started at the Muppet Movie which was great fun. It was 3-D and I was afraid I might not be able to watch but it didn't bother me.
Then we went to the Indiana Jones stunt man demonstration - it was really interesting with 3 different sets, several cool stunts and some fun playing with audience volunteer extras.
We ate lunch at the 50s Prime Time Cafe which was furnished like living rooms, dining rooms and kitchens of the 50s. When we ordered the waitress told us what "mom" was cooking today, and also told us to sit up straight and keep our elbows off the tables, There were old TVs all over showing 50s TV shows. Our waitress was a hoot - she said she loves this job because she can yell at kids and not get in trouble. The food was great - Mary and I ordered fried chicken and got half a chicken each!!
Then we went on the Great Movie ride by Turner Classic Movies, with anamatronic scenes from all sorts of classic movies.- also great fun.
We went back to rest awhile, and then back to Hollywood for Fantasmic - a light and water show with Mickey and a huge cast of Disney heros, princesses and lots of villans - enough to give the little kids nightmares for a week. The finale was a riverboat with Steamboat Willie and all the cast.
We were hungry and it was late, so went to the Port Orleans Riverside where they had a bigger dining room. But by the time we got there it was 10:00 and most everything was closed, but we found something we could eat and then back to our hotel. It was a late night and we were really tired.
Mary and Beth left a tip for their maid but we forgot, so they got a cute towel folded with a cartoon face. We need to leave a tip tomorrow.
