First Day at the ski courses!
It was 8:30 in the morning, when we started to pour into the diner for the breakfast
. It was a pretty "sleek" breakfast with only ham, butter and cheese. However, there was plenty of them. And there was cocoa milk too! Yumm!
[NP: Back then I did not know that this was one of the two standard breakfasts we were going to get at the camp :p]
So, after a while we got into the bus and headed for the slopes. The base cabin lift was located in a small village, Annenheim, and it was called Kanzelbahn, named after the Kanzel peak, cutting it across. After a slight crowd at the base point we encountered no further tumult. Everything was just so well organized, just so perfect. I have hardly ever seen anything like this before. I really like this kind of thing.
One of us had been already here the previous year, so he was the guide :) We tried out a couple of slopes, though it wasn't enough time for all of them. It seemed to me, as a first impression, that the courses were not that hard. Their color of blue/red/black indicated the inclination and per se the difficulty. Mostly the courses had two parts: a sleek, flat and wide part, where most of the fellas were riding and a narrower, moundy part, for the xtremes.
At 4 pm we headed back to the bus - 80 % of the people went asleep on the ~15 km ride back :))
The tour leader was an hour tardy, after he kept singing odes about being punctual on the way back. That's the way it goes.
I hope I won't have muscle fever tomorrow.
PS: I've uploaded some picture for you, check them out! Nice scenery, isn't it?
