That was another sleepless night, so that after being picked up by our upcoming safari leader Ronald and deposited at the Olasiti Lodge in Arusha, we ate lunch and promptly crashed for the rest of the afternoon, exhausted.  This was perhaps not the wisest idea, because we were unable to sleep very much that night culminating by being awakened by the 5:00 a.m. call to prayers.  Our bodies are still on Alaska time, which is exactly 12 hours earlier than Tanzania time.  When it’s middle of the night here, we feel like it’s the middle of the day.  This will take some time to overcome!
