Awesome Niagara Falls

Niagara Falls, Ontario, Canada
Canadian Niagara Falls

Sunday we left camp around 10:30 am and headed over to Niagara Falls . The drive was mostly freeway and it rained much of the way, but we weren’t towing the trailer so it was okay. By the time we arrived in Niagara Falls, it was clearing. We parked ($20) and walked a relatively short distance down to Niagara Falls Parkway, which has a long viewing path overlooking the falls
and upriver too. You can go through a welcome building that houses gift shop, informational exhibits and “washrooms” (Canadian restroom.)

What a majestic sight. There was a roar and large cloud of mist from Horseshoe Falls. We snapped photos and then just stood in awe for awhile. We marveled too at the large hydroelectric
installations along the river/falls. The surrounding neighborhoods along Niagara Parkway were a delight to drive through. We got back on the road to Milton and by chance found a Greek restaurant (recommended on TripAdvisor) called Joe Feta’s Greek Village. It is in the
city of St. Catharine. We really enjoyed the food and ambiance. It was altogether a thoroughly enjoyable day. Back at the campground, David napped and Arlene and I vacuumed the trailer. (overdue)
