Going/Not Going? Who Knows? We Don’t.

Today Finnair decided to rejig its flight schedules due to falling demand which is quite understandable. However its left us in the situation that our outward flights are fine and our flight from Tokyo to Helsinki is fine but there will be no flight from there to Manchester. This came as news to our travel agent and tour company when I told them so they are now trying to work something out. We’ve never been to Finland, perhaps we will get a free Finnish holiday thrown in?
Fiona is of a mind now that she doesn’t want to go and I too would be quite happy the holiday were cancelled, things will probably only get worse anyway. What I really don’t want is some roundabout route to get home via who knows where that takes an inordinate amount of time. Neither do I want us to be stuck in some sort of quarantine camp in Japan building a railway bridge over some poxy river. Seen the film and it didn’t end well.
Of course our travel agent and tour company are inundated at the moment so we may not get complete clarity until very late in the week. I would rather know our return details before we fly out!
As an alternative to going away I do have a lot to get on with in the garden and the garage and cellar could do with a clear out and tidy up.

Well, they won't be flying you back through Canada, our borders have just been closed to non-residents (except US citizens). You would also have the additional risk of half of the world's airlines going out of business before you get back. I hear that Butlins is much better than it used to be :)
