A trip to PNG to visit family history

Brisbane, Queensland, Australia
What an opportunity! My Uncle Georg is planning to take a group to PNG to see the Mt Hagen Show and the Sepik River with Madang on the itinerary.

If I go I get to see the Mt Hagen Show, see where my grandfather trekked the jungles of PNG as a missionary from the 1930's to 1950's and where I grew up with my parents in the late 1960's .

After lots of deliberating, and considering that it might be the last time he chooses to visit PNG, I book my trip.

Obviously he know the country, speaks the language and has a passion for the people. It will be a great trip and even though the dangers make me hesitate, the time off work makes me hesitate and the cost makes me hesitate, I book it.

The trip is booked and I will travel with my Uncle Georg, Aunty Nell (broken arm and all) and four other fantastic friends of my Uncle and Aunt; Susan, Penelope, Cheryl and Rob. I can't wait to go.
