This was the day that Elaine & Rosemary were due to join us. It was a pity that it was pouring with rain, not a good start. Undaunted, we did our bit to ready the boat, cleaning, tidying and generally trying to make the two rear cabins habitable for our guests. In all truth there is not much to report about the day – they arrived safely from their respective airports, gin was consumed and much chatting was carried out – it's amazing how the decibel level changes when there are three women on board!! I’d also forgotten just how much of their energy they devote to discussing how many layers of clothes they are going to wear lest they get even remotely cold – no wonder I was drinking gin!!
