The Baltic's Largest Marina

Bullandö, Stockholm, Sweden
It was a beautiful, still, summer morning when we left out lovely anchorage, destination washing machines. There aren't many hereabouts but coincidentally (actually it was planned in the Baltic’s largest marina, only 13 miles away, called Bullandö, there are some, so that is where we were headed, under engine and we arrived at 11:45, reversing in to the pontoon, right next to the harbour office and with a restaurant on the other side of the pontoon. As we were so close, we had wifi so as soon as we were safely tied up, we were busy catching up with emails and never mind that we were missing lovely sun! Such is the draw of the internet and of course, I could download Julie’s favourite programmes….

We didn’t do a whole lot, we certainly didn’t do laundry as the machines were booked until the 08:00 slot the next morning, but we could sunbathe, shop, chat to passing people and generally, enjoy the day . I was even tempted by the restaurant but £19.00 for a burger took the edge off my enthusiasm and anyway, I had some blogging to do. The sacrifices I make…

I did wander around and take a few photos, which give some idea of the size of this 1400 boat complex.
