Now the talking is over and our date of destiny is almost upon us ! It's a good job we've had 3 days to recover from Lucina's wedding in Ireland - absolutely knackered would be a good description (if anyone is interested in a few wedding photos click here ). It was a nice chance to catch up with everyone especially those who we hadn't seen since our wedding in 2001.

6 days into taking malaria tablets and no they don't taste any better - Sue had to follow one up with a piece of apple turnover the other night ! The rucksacks seem to be filled out nicely but are not too heavy (phew !) Temperatures in Bangkok today were a pleasant 35C I'm told so we'll soon be sweating it out.

Saying goodbye can be the hardest part of any trip (and was) but as I said to everyone we'll be back just after Christmas !

Next stop India !
