Delhi on a rickshaw in traffic ! You haven't driven in 'proper traffic' till you've done it once. Once you've done it once you wonder what all the fuss was about. Who cares if you nearly kill a few people on every journey ?! Only sit up when you get hit - we did - no injuries so don't worry
Today we saw some guys on bikes - one had a couple of BIG milk churns on either side whilst the other guy had (and I'm not kidding!) 36 kitchen sinks, all neatly arranged of course.
We visted Mahatma Gandhi's grave, some beautiful gardens and a buddhist temple with the most amazing red, yellow and while colours. The was also a red brick miliatry building of old which seemed to be about a mile long and that was just in width. Driving up the main road towards the presidental palaces and government buildings was quite resemblant of the Champ Eleysees (?) in Paris expect that there were hardly any people around (apart from bored look official police) which seems strange in this place.
Food is fantastic here - stuffed Nan bread for lunch today went down so good we ordered another. The Korma is spicy enough for now. We won't be getting the Jalfrezi till later in our trip. Delhi belly has not been encountered since we got off the plane but touch wood...
As for the place, the only description I can think of is pleasant chaos. At times it's a struggle to walk down the street when you've got traffic all around you. Then you get to a place of tranquility and you forget all the fuss.
