Our long awaited trip started yesterday on Boxing Day.  We had been lucky enough to upgrade our Emirates flight from Melbourne to Dubai to business class using our points, so an Emirates chauffeur picked us up at our home and drove us the hours drive to Melbourne Airport.

We skipped most of the queuing du3 to being business class and were fast tracked through security.  Oh, how I wish we could always travel like this!  We were able to access the Emirates lounge, so we toasted our holiday with a glass of Moet and nibbled some excellent cheeses whilst waiting for the flight.  There was a vast array of food, but we knew we would be fed again on the plane so didn’t want to overeat.

The trip to Dubai was wonderful.  We always love the opportunity to use the bar at the back of the plane, it is such a great opportunity to chat to strangers and have a couple of drinks.  Before we knew it we had arrived in Dubai.  We only had a couple of hours transit before boarding our next flight to London.  Back to economy this time, but still a good flight.
