We
were up bright and early and headed straight up to the stunning Pacific Club
Room for a fabulous breakfast. There was
a buffet of cold foods and hot dishes can be ordered from the chef. Delicious Eggs Benedict and amazing views of
Marina Bay.
We
left straight after breakfast on foot to visit Gardens by the Bay. We thoroughly enjoyed the Cloud Dome but were
less entranced by the Flower Dome. By
then it was after midday and as usual in Singapore the sun was getting very
warm and humid so we headed back to the Pan Pacific.
We
had a light afternoon tea with finger sandwiches in the Club Lounge and spent
the rest of the afternoon lazing by the pool, before cocktail hour back in the
Lounge.
After
the cocktail hour ended, we walked back to Gardens by the Bay to visit
Supertree Grove and see the light show, which was very enjoyable. We had previously seen the other laser light
show at Marina Bay Sands, so didn’t bother with that this trip.
We
started to search for dinner, but I really didn’t feel like Asian food. That unfortunately drastically reduced our
options, so we headed to Marina Bay Sands shopping area and restaurants but
there was nothing that appealed. We
ended up eating sliders at Dallas Restaurant overlooking Marina Bay, which was
lovely with the view and a nice breeze.
After dinner we headed up to Ce La Vi bar on the rooftop of Marina Bay
for a nightcap or two with that stunning view of Singapore before heading back
to the hotel for bed.
