Van Gogh Museum and Albert Cuyp Market

Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
We woke early and went down to the hotel basement where we were served a delicious full breakfast.
We then set out to walk to the Van Gogh museum for our timed entry.  It was a wet chilly day, but the walk warmed us up.After spending a couple of hours enjoying the museum, we walked to the Albert Cuyp market.  We love food markets and had never visited this one.  We spent an hour or so wandering around and G bought his regular souvenir t-shirt.  We then stopped for lunch at the Café Bozz in the market.  I had a delicious meal of Dutch croquettes with bread.  They tasted very much like the Bitterballen that I had had on our last visit to Amsterdam.  G had a Mexican wrap, which he enjoyed, but as often happens, he regretted not ordering the same dish as me!
We spent the majority of the afternoon following Rick Steve’s Jordaan walk from his app.  The Jordaan was a very pretty area and we enjoyed ourselves very much.
After returning the Banks Mansion we freshened up and had pre-dinner drinks in the lounge before catching an Uber to Lucius, a seafood restaurant that we had also enjoyed on our last trip.  Dinner was lovely and we both ate mixed grilled fish, with mayonnaise, and sides of mashed potatoes and vegetables.  Dessert was a crème brulee.
