By the time we ate breakfast this morning we had docked in Mannheim.  After finished breakfast, we boarded another bus for our chosen excursion to Heidelberg Castle.  It wasn’t a terribly long bus ride, probably around 30 minutes.  We were given a guided tour of Schloss Heidelberg which was very enjoyable and then we had free time for our own exploration of Heidelberg itself.

The bus then returned us to the Pearl where we spent the afternoon sailing to Rastatt.  We had an early dinner before then reboarding buses to take us to Rastatt Palace for a classical concert.

This was a wonderful experience.  We got to tour the palace and then sat down for some amazing opera singing.The bus then returned us to the Scenic Pearl, where a late supper and drinks were provided for us.  This had been a very enjoyable day indeed.
