Museums and the Famous Sacher Torte

Wednesday, October 23, 2019
Vienna, Vienna, Austria
We woke this morning and returned to Zanoni and Zanoni for a light breakfast.
We then walked to the Albertina museum and spent most of the morning enjoying it there.
Next was our reserved lunch at Café Sacher.  We really only wanted to visit to taste the Sacher Torte, but you couldn’t make a reservation for afternoon tea, so we did lunch instead.  We both had wurst, and then shared a portion of the delicious Sacher Torte, which was actually much nicer than I expected.
The afternoon was spent exploring the wonderful Imperial Treasury.
We ended the day with sunset drinks at the Hotel Lamee Rooftop Bar.
Dinner was at L’Ombra, an Italian restaurant next door to Zanoni and Zanoni.  Unfortunately it was not terribly good, a had a very forgettable carbonara and G had an equally forgettable cacio e pepe.
