I woke up at 7:30 am. Marleen and Grace were already outside on the patio working on their teaching duties. Lucy was probably guarding the doorway after her first two servings of breakfast. Now it was time for me to feed her another.
I didn't do much today really except read my book and send out some photos to Marleen and Grace although I later found out that I had the wrong telephone number for Grace. I didn't get around to my short swim and shower until 4 or 5 pm.
At 6 pm we took the path to the Cas-en-Bas Beach and Marjorie's Restaurant. We each had two rum punches to drink. Marleen and I tried the marlin fish dinners that came with Caribbean style sides, including provisions of some sort. Grace had chicken with BBQ sauce but she scraped off the sauce because she doesn't like BBQ sauce and hadn't realized the chicken came with it. I didn't really like the fish so much - it was on the dry side and fishy tasting. The rice wasn't bad and the provisions were good - not crazy about the beans but they were OK. I took half of my fish back, but never ate it later.
We got back to the apartment by 8:30 pm and sat by the pool for a while. Looked at the stars. The grounds around the buildings are nicely landscaped. There must be tons of wildlife because the place is actually pretty noisy. Not unpleasantly. I really like the sounds. When I asked Kirtland, he said it was crickets making all that night noise.
After working on this short blog, I went back to reading my book before going to bed.
