I just thought about my visit to the Cowboy Outfitters shop in downtown Glasgow.
At least, I think it was here. Funny that I hadn't mentioned it before in the blog. It is always difficult for me to keep track of my belongings when I travel and I almost always end up losing some precious article of clothing, or something. After washing my sox and underwear, I often had to finish drying them on the back cover of the Subaru and they might fly off into the cargo area at some point. I think that is what happened to several pairs of my running shoe sox. I had packed relatively sparsely and so I thought I might replace the sox. I searched the outfitters which had a lot of athletic clothes as well, but could not find any packages with only a few pairs of the sox. I was offered help and took up the sales clerk. She or he (I can't remember now) looked but could only find the same 6-packs as I had and maybe a three-pack, but advised me that the 6-pack was a much better deal because the 3-pack cost almost as much. Another sales clerk chimed in with her agreement and so there I was with 6 new pairs of Adidas running sox. I actually quite like them and they came in different shades from black to white. I was impressed with the helpfulness and friendliness of the clerks. It felt real homey.
