Management Centre, School of Business, Bangor University, Bangor Wales
I woke up feeling really cold in our room, thinking it was air conditioning but it turned out only to be the open windows.
I waited under my warm duvet until Marilynn was up before getting up. I think I caught up on some things until around 9 am when we went into town for breakfast and for Marilynn to mail a package of papers home to her mother. I had a cheese, mushroom, spinach omelette which was very good.\
Then we went back to the hotel to check out and get a taxi to the bus station to catch the bus to Bangor for our next stay. It wasn't that far and the landscape seemed more developed that what we had previously traversed. The cab driver seemed pleased with his small tip so I guess it is OK. We got another taxi ride fro the bus station to the Management Centre. We checked in and Marilynn got help taking her big bag up the last set of stairs to our 3rd floor room. I am not sure whether these rooms are student accommodation or rooms for visitors or people taking special courses. The buildings are linked together by various halls, stairwells and covered walkways. It looks as if there are reconfigured from some earlier life.
I was getting settled - being lazy when Marilynn asked if I wanted to go out to the pier. We ended up going to the Cathedral first. The Cathedral had closed at 3. Then we walked to Victoria Pier but most everything seemed closed. We sat for quite awhile and I had an ice cream while Marilynn had a coffee. Then we walked back up the hill to our room. It was a bit of a challenge since it was so steep.
We snacked on our cheese and crackers and started watching the British mysteries. I didn't take many photos today. I sent Kara a few but decided not to bother sending them to anyone else. This pretty much concludes today's blog.
