We were up pretty early.   I took my shower and did some hand-washing.  Marilynn then went in for her shower and then we went in for breakfast.  My breakfast choices included mushrooms.  I had decided I wanted to go back up to the room and then I wasn't so sure I should have done it because I wasn't sure I could make it in 15 minutes without getting lost.  I did have two brief confusions but all in all it went OK..
We walked down the hill to the town center where we caught the no. 58 bus to Beaumaris.  Marilynn's directions said to get off the bus at a certain hotel so we got off and it turned out to be the same name hotel in a different town 6 km away.  We did a bit of walking around this town and then found a bus stop where we could catch the bus again for Beaumaris.  I searched my bag for my ticket but could not find it.  When I bought it, I though I stuffed it into my bag.  I had had a problem scanning my visa credit card twice and then the AMEX didn't work, I offered cash, gave a 20 but I needed to find something smaller and finally got a 5 pound note.  I ended up with two rejected slips and the ticket, but couldn't find any of them.  I guess it all worked out.  I bought a second all-day ticket to replace my lost one.
We arrived in Beaumaris and headed for the Castle, used our CADW cards and entered.  We walked around the bottom and then the top.  It was a nice castle but no reconstructed rooms or tours.  There was a short video but not that helful.   What I liked was the moat around the castle and seeing the cows out in the field from the ramparts.  There were some good shots of the plants coming out of the stones of the castle.
Marilynn bought a couple of postcards but was very hungry so I agreed to go back later and get lunch then.  We walked around a bit before finding a place that seemed OK but they had a 20 min wait.  At first I thought not, but we ended up waiting and then I got a smolked mackerel salad and lemonade.  It was a nice place and Marilynn had a flowered tea in a cute flowered tea pot.  After that we went to the Gaol that turned out to be quite nice.  We saw the hanging door and a whole bunch of cells.
After the jail, we went back to the castle, I got my postcards, and then we caught the bus back to Bangor.  From the bus stop, we took a taxi to the management centre.  The taxi driver seemed lost, but we got there.  Oh, yet, we stopped at Marks and Spencer and bought a bottle of Malbec, some lettuce, a pear and some juice for Marilynn.  When we got back to the room, we ate the old cheese with the new baguettes and lettuce and then we booked two more sets of rooms - in Scotland.  I had a lot of trouble with getting booking.com or hotels.com on my phone and on my netbook too.  Only travelark seems to work.  Now I am watching the tv mystery Vera and finishing up the blog.
