Tuesday afternoon at "tea" trivia, the team came in first! I forgot to mention the team is us and a couple from Texas, but the last two nights a performer, a quite beautiful Russian concert pianist joined the team. ( Although, she did miss a question about St. Petersburg!) . We later met for cocktails then dinner at Compass Rose. Our entertainment last night was the first performance on this cruise by our trivia partner. Good grief, how her fingers danced over that keyboard from classical to rock. She was quite a one gal show!
Today in Dominican Rep
., docked at Casa de Campo. Our tour took us through Casa de Campo to their marina, then a riverboat cruise up a river, followed by a tour then free time in this amazing village Alto de Chevon, a village within Casa, made as a replica of a 14 th century Italian village.
This afternoon, Dori is seeing "Bruno" , Tom's friend, while hopefully the trivia team kicks butt again! Tomorrow is a day at sea, and we are looking forward to resting up.
Didn't get this posted last night. Trivia team took 3rd again. Dinner at Italian restaurant. Restaurants empty, probably cause everyone was lined up for Dramamine! But they didn't cancel fabulous "Tribute to Broadway" show. Don't know how these kids do free standing back flips when the ship is pitching 20 degrees. Cruise director told cast they could reschedule, but they opted to perform. Production was truly Broadway quality too!
Today lecture re: Pirates of the Caribbean , then cha-cha lessons, a tour of the galley, followed by trivia, "crew Kapers", a show put on by the crew, then concert pianist performance, probably a little 1cent slots. So much for a restful day at sea! then tomorrow our last day before disembarkment. Boo! This is last post til I finish it off after we get home as tomorrow will be too busy to fit it in! Some life......
