Champagne Bush Breakfast

Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa
Thursday 15th September 2016: Pack up our tent and leave at 8.30 and head out for a champagne bush breakfast. The staff have everything set up with 2 armed guards standing by in case of uninvited animal guests, but the only ones we see are two giraffes overlooking us from up on the hill. A bush toilet and separate hand washing station - they think of everything. As this is our last official meal together there are lots of photos etc as the 18 of us have become close over the Kenyan part of the tour. We head to the small airport - Spencer getting a puncture on the way - and load into 2 small aircraft (12 seaters) which take 40 minutes to Nairobi where we are reunited with our big suitcases, bussed to the International airport and 4 hours to Johannesburg, arriving at the Michael Angelo Hotel about 8.30pm with the an hour time change. Sally & Peter left us at Nairobi as they are going on to Zanzibar. The Michael Angelo is a beautiful hotel in the suburb of Sandton City, which has become the upmarket financial centre of Joburg over the last 15 years with much building going on.
