Herman has fallen ill and has been rushed to the Fiat Hospital in Terni...
We've seen a mechanic consultant and it appears water has got into the fuel system and now needs to be drained and flushed through
...!
We were all set for a 6hrs drive to West of Genoa today trying to push on and get around to France and Spain... Hopefully will be sorted today and back on the road tomorrow.
UPDATE...
So we still here in Terni and are staying in the Fiat Garage compound!!!
They have actually been really helpful...! So the fuel problem is now fixed, they have to drain and flush the system, all done. But the Handbrake warning light now has a dim glowing caused by some electrical feedback that they are looking at and will continue to look at in the morning...
Zzzzzz what a long day especially as we should have been West of Genoa by now...! Nite!!!

How could this happen? We keep our fingers crossed that nothing worse has happened and that you are able to continue your ride as planned. We are actually staying absolutely alone on a very nice place near Marsala, which we will visit tomorrow by scooter. The stress we have is to decide between 5 showers, 12 toilets and 8 sinks!!

We are not sure Achim how it happened but we filled with €130 of Diesel in Rome and set off and now we find that there is much water in the fuel..!

Think it is because you took Herman across the sea rather than by land.... as shown on the map.
