Almonte (Huelva), Andalucía, Spain and Canary Islands
We drove into town on Friday and met up with Leanne and Steve, we were staying on a nice campsite with good facilities and was time to catch up with some clothes washing duties...

As dusk fell we walked into town to the dusty/sandy streets of El Rocio, a most unusual town where we were told people get around on horseback and tie there horses to the fence outside the shops and bars ...

It was quiet on the Friday night but we're told Saturday was a busier day with a Fiesta happening, so we went on about our and visited a few bars before jokingly talking about a pizza takeaway and no way would there be one, we stumbled on a Pizza takeaway the last building on the way out of town back to the campsite..! It was very cheesy...!!!

We woke Saturday to some drizzle and a cloudy forecast, but by afternoon it had dried and we walked into town with the two dogs Tia and Jake, by now the sun was starting to become our friend and the town was alive with the Fiesta, more like a summer fair...

After spending most the afternoon in El Rocio' centre watching the comings and goings of Cowboy Life, we returned to feed the weary dogs and we had all decided to walk back into town for the evening entertainment. It wasn't as lively as we had thought but after a beer or two we went to a fabulous restaurant and had an amazing meal, a lovely end to a couple of days in the Wild Wild West... Yee ha...!!!
