A southern wedding

Atlanta, Georgia, United States
We sleep late, and I think I face the consequences of breathing dust in East Africa for half a month, because my nose is blocked a lot. And not only mine. We all are more or less suffering from the same condition.
The wedding is at 18:00 hours (8-18-2018, at 18:00), so we spend the day driving around the area, buying some items in Walmart, and staying with our relatives. For Sisi it is so nice to be with her brother again, and for Didi and Kari it brings back memories of their 3-month trip in the USA two years ago.
The wedding is in an old cotton mill, and just before people are ready to sit down in the open courtyard, it starts to rain.
Employees start to move chairs and flower arrangements, later umbrellas are handed out, and all run through the rain to a covered area, where the vows are exchanged.
Afterwards, there is a large buffet dinner for the 160 guests, and music and dancing. When Sisi's brother (father of the bride) addresses the crowd, I am particularly touched, that he mentions his gratefulness that America has accepted them and allowed them to become their home.
I stroll around, but the music is too loud for conversation, so in a separate room I find a comfortable chair where I read in 'Man-eaters of Tsavo' about two infamous man-eating lions who ate 28 coolies and an unknown number of Africans, and temporarily halted the construction of the Uganda railway.
We will visit the Tsavo area next week.
