Well, it seems to be that time again...after the years of Covid, it appears that it is time for us to venture out into a large world yet again. We are heading to Amsterdam, Netherlands to join Viking's Grand European Rivers Cruise on the Longship, Bragi, which will end after 15 days in Budapest, Hungary. Our plans are to go to Amsterdam 2 days early--both to adjust our bodies to the time change, and to have some extra time to visit a country and a city we have yet to discover. After ending our adventure in Budapest, we will fly to London, England, for another 5 days before flying British Airways non-stop from there to Nashville, arriving home on August 31.
As this may well be our last trip "over the pond", I have debated "yes or no" on doing a blog as they can be quite time consuming. I have several neighbors (pushy ones...and you know who you are!) who are putting their thumbs on the "yes" side of the scales quite adamantly, assuring me that I can do a short daily write up and then upload pictures.
..John is insisting that he doesn't want me to miss the trip by spending too much time reporting on it to others--like the folks who used to go to Disney with a web cam running, and never actually saw the park! I have decided to at least give it a try and see how it goes. I hope that you enjoy how little or how much I manage to do.
We fly out tomorrow morning from Nashville on United to Chicago and then to Amsterdam. If the past is indeed prologue to the future, we will be ready to face plant Thursday evening at the Raddison Blu in Amsterdam when our LOOONNNNGGG day is over. We are hoping for an uneventful flight, and a safe and fun trip in Europe. As always, if you would prefer NOT to get my posts, just let me know and I will remove your email address. After my back surgery I ordered a wheelchair for the Hawaii trip. They got me to my next gate in no time. It was better than me wandering through a airport looking for signs. Have a good time and don’t miss anything blogging.
