Vienna, Vienna, Austria
This is a cheater post today! We have been getting up early and really hitting the pavement this trip and we decided to take a vacation day on our first day in Austria. I looked up some pictures of the Abbey on Wikipedia, copied them and put them in the blog this morning to give you an idea of what we (and thus you) missed. Our plan today is to stay on the boat, rest up and park ourselves on the sun deck when it is reasonably cool and in the lounge other times. We might even take a nap. I will post some other pictures from the lock system last night (Mike, that should make you happy) and I am sure there will be more of our immediate area also. Please forgive the shortcuts and I do hope you enjoy the Abbey pictures.

The Skadi (which I have been misspelling this whole trip, by the way) pulled into shore around 4 ish in the afternoon into the river side town of Krems so the the folks that wanted to could wander around town for a while. It was so hot (91 degrees) with no wind, so we didn’t stay out very long. It was a beautiful, albeit hot, day today.

Wow great pictures Austria is definitely on the dumpster list. I have seen that Abbey on many commercials for traveling. This was a great trip for you to take. Enjoy.

Your journal and pictures are beautiful but how in the WORLD do you have time to do all this and enjoy your travels!
