We woke to a gorgeous day and best of all, after all the heat the last many days, with a temp of 53 degrees!!! Double yay!

We had breakfast at the hotel before catching a cab to meet our friends Julie and Michael at Buckingham Palace. Julie and Michael were kind enough to get us tickets to the state apartments in Buckingham Palace which are now showcasing all items Coronation. We saw many of the things that we had seen on television during King Charles’ coronation. No comparison to seeing them up close and personal along with the commentary that explains the history behind everything. Fantastic. The rooms themselves were breathtakingly beautiful. Everything flowed seamlessly and were elegance personified. The Brits must be masters of doing opulence right. We had a visit of a lifetime thanks to our friends. Yay Julie and Michael!

We had a wonderful day…perfect weather, perfect temperature, a trip to a fairy tale palace, and English tea at one of the places that have the very best to offer along with great people! Not sure we can top this one.
