This has been another interesting day. First of all, the Notting Hill Carnival is going on a few blocks down the street in the (what else?) Notting Hill area. We saw the beginning of it this morning when we met Daniel, one of the participants. You can see that it will likely be an interesting day!
After breakfast, we took a cab to the place we could do Hop On, Hop Off for a city tour. We rode it for two hours before disembarking near Westminster. As we walked by the Marriott, we saw a sign that invited one to come in and enjoy afternoon tea along with a view of Big Ben and Parliament..,Julie, you spoiled us yesterday and thus we stopped in yet again for WAY too much to eat!
After stuffing ourselves, we walked from there back to Buckingham Palace. Close to the palace, we caught another cab and came back to our hotel. We were very surprised to find that it looks like the Notting Hill Carnival is in full swing in front of our hotel! Tons of police officials and tons of people. We are watching the goings on from the lobby of the Hilton!

Dear Chaps, It looks like a nice cheerio Day in London. Nice time for an Afternoon Tea. I want to cut and paste the cake and coffee shop to look out for. In this response. Loved all the pictures and a boat ride on the Thames is also very nice we did it in the sunshine. Actually it was sunny every day we were in London. https://www.patisserie-valerie.co.uk/ Rest up lots to see and not enough days to see it all the city is marvelous. Enjoy to the max. I contacted our adoptive British Daughter that lives about 2 hours from London. She stayed with us twice to see CMA and Christmas. Fabulous trip you are taking.

Wow.. afternoon tea at the Marriott looks delicious! I haven’t been there before, so will now add it to my list of places to go on one of my next trips into town. What a great sightseeing day you’ve had!
