Well, we made it back safe and sound at 3:45. Muf has been cleaned out, and we are getting ready to take him to his man cave. It is too late today and will be too hot tomorrow to give him a bath, so his time for personal hygiene will have to wait for a cooler day. We have had a wonderful trip and thank all of you for following along with us. As I said earlier in the blog, this particular trip was taken at least in part to help celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary so it has been a little more special than some we have made.
As some of you may know (can't remember if I said this before) for over twenty years I made a daily journal for any major trips that we took
. Finally getting more or less burnt out on doing that, I said I was giving it all up...then came Betty C and her blog on their trip to Alaska! We loved hearing from her and, in fact, were somewhat annoyed if for some reason...low or no wifi usually being the problem...we didn't get our morning edition from tricruiser! On our next trip I decided to try blogging rather than journaling, and really enjoyed the experience. We discovered why Betty continued to write even when posting was a challenge...it was fun for US to get the comments on our blog! It is somewhat addicting in fact I am sorry to say...not adding in the chocolate chip frappes which are an entirely different issue!
We hope all of you have enjoyed traveling vicariously with us on this journey. Sometimes we have had exciting and fun things to report. Other days our blog was more like a Seinfield show
...thirty minutes about nothing at all! Now we would like for each of you to do a favor for us. Since this is part of our 50th anniversary/celebration/extravaganza, we would appreciate your posting a short "shout out" comment so that we can have all of you as a part of our memories when we have this printed. Many of you have sent emails in lieu of making a comment on the blog itself and that has been wonderful too. However we would very much appreciate it if you would post on the blog itself so we can enjoy our permanent record. I say "we" by the way because John keeps me straight on my facts, helps edit, and is a major help in what pictures we do or do not post. Thanks again for traveling with us...we have enjoyed having the company along for the ride!
We drove 235 miles today and drove just a little over 6,000 Miles total...John says nearly 1/4 of the way around the world.

Loved my intermittent "visits" with you. Couldn't always stay abreast due to my own travels but always fun catching up when I could, still a couple shy of the whole trip. Rehab from double knee replacement continues maybe even a little ahead of schedule - I'm walking with just a cane and around home without even that. Still sort of walk like "the tin man" though.
