Birds and Sirens

Hoping the we were going to be able to fly home this afternoon, there were a few more things to see before leaving. One attraction on the to see list was the bird habitat at the Flamingo Casino. This is an outdoor area within the resort/casino that houses flamingos, ducks, koi, a pelican, and swan. The birds were different from many I have seen and I am not sure what some of them were. While I was walking through the area my phone rang and Southwest was telling me our flight had been cancelled. I quickly made a reservation for Monday morning, but that was soon cancelled as well. I guess Sandy will arrive at our house without us there.

The rest of the day we relaxed in our motel room catching up on pictures and getting some rest . We tried the casino next door for dinner and found it quite tasty and inexpensive.

Later in the evening we went up to the Treasure Island Casino to see the Sirens of TI, a little skit involving scantily clad women and pirates.

Since we will now not be able to get home until at least Wednesday, tomorrow we will travel up into Utah to Zion National Park.
