Calgary to Victoria

Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
Today we drove the rest of the way from Canmore to Calgary Airport, where we dropped off our favourite Volvo and flew across to Sidney Airport for Victoria , the capital of British Columbia.
Our next car failed to impress as we had been rather spoiled by the Volvo.  It was a black Nissan Altima and quickly gained the nickname Heapa as it drove like a tub of lard.  To be fair, it served us well and eventually grew on us. (a bit)
The traffic on the way into Victoria was horrendous as we seemed to have arrived at peak hour.
We were pleased with our accommodation at the Embassy Inn.  It looks a bit dated but our room was really nice and airy and it's in a great location across the road from Parliament House... And as we were to find out, the free breakfasts are excellent.
We had time for a bit of a look around the area and the harbour before we made our way down to Fisherman's Wharf where we enjoyed fish & chips at the famous Barb's Fish and Chips.
