Hey Hey and a Big G'Day to you
What an amazing first day back at school. I have been so excited about my return and it was more than I expected. The morning was spent with the office in shambles and desks being moved here there and everywhere. A mad dash was then made to the bookshop to collect the new books...yes yes, China, always done at the last minute! No classes were held until after lunch, so whilst the kids ran wild outside, the teachers organised the inside. The difficulty with all this for me is they are all speaking in Chinese so half the time I can just sit there with my hands in the air for if I go to do something I think needs done, offcourse it doesn't need done. No, No, don't move that box of rubbish, let it sit under that desk for a time. We'll get to it next week! Ok!
My Grade 4's from last term are now offcourse Grade 5's and what a way to begin. One of my favourite students, George was there to greet me and help out in any way possible. He always helps with translations from my Phrase Book and then explains it to the class. So, this class is pretty much a breeze. They all tell each other to quieten down when the levels rise, unlike some classes last term. But I must say, from some of the stories I hear around the teaching traps, my classes are very much full of angels, even for Primary School.

What a way to spend the evening. Whilst going over the new teaching books I heard my favourite gal Lilley call from outside. HELLOW Shane. Usually she'll sit down and sort through DVD's...no I can't figure out why when there is only three she ever watches...ANTS and two Harry Potter Movies. After a short chat she sings 'Happy Birthday Lilley'. WOW, it's your birthday! About 5 seconds later her friends and family followed by those from next door all arrive and make their way in. What an honour, she had chosen my house for her birthday. The night was spent eating beautiful birthday cake, throwing balls around the place, singing happy birthday and offcourse, watching ANTZ!
