Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya

Today marked the arrival of the Super Northern Train Girl!

While eagerly awaiting the arrival of my little beauty I spent the morning back behind the glitz and glamour getting lost within the maze of little alley ways. I finally found the gateway to the church beneath the huge cross that was in my view most of yesterday.

The church was newly built and it was bloody huge!

A man spotted me standing at the gate and ran over and dragged me inside to show off the newly built prize. Inside was huge and from what I can gather the upstairs was very much the same as the large gathering room for worship I was standing in now.

As I walked around my attention was captured by what lay outside the windows more than what lay within. One of the churches windows would easily cost more than the family house beneath it. From the looks of the church yard I would believe that it had purchased much of the land around it and was eagerly waiting for demolition day.

So much has change in the world!
But then again, when it comes to religion not much has changed at all!

On my way to DICO's (at Red Flag Square) I came across an abandoned Primary School that was ready for demolition just like everything around it (except for the temples and the church). I spent a short time walking around the small school grounds and going from room to room. Some of the blackboards still had the last lessons learning's and others had been graffitied by person similar to me.

I took a few pictures of paintings that happy children would have drawn long ago.
Pictures that would soon be forgotten and never seen by their children.
And so the world continues to turn!

The soundtrack to this entry was by the one and only AC/DC.
That is AC/DC with the late N great Bon Scott not Brian Johnson.
I've never really been much of a Brian Johnson fan.
The album was 'Highway to Hell'
