Jinggangshan, Jiangxi, China

Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya,

I don't like cable cars.
How many times have I told you that.
Yet you keep sending me to places where I have to catch them.

Jinggang Shan's natural highland forest is unrivalled, particulary it's square-stemmed bamboo and some twenty six kinds of alpine azaleas that blooom from late Apil and Dujuan Shan (mountain) is obviously one of the best places/scenic areas on Jinggang Shan to get amongst it all as this is the one that most people come here for.

Besides ofcourse all the Long March and Chairman Mao 'stuff''.

For those who love cable cars you will love this one but for those who don't, bad luck as it is the only way to reach the top. Not only do you get one long journey, you actually get two because when you actually reach the top of what you think is THE mountain and begin to sigh with relief, you are then flung through what I was hoping to be the 'exit' but in fact you turn right and are once again flung out into the valley below.

Do they actually have to do that?

Can't they build a cable car that starts off slowly and doesn't fling you out into space and while they're are at it, can't they also add in a slow entry to exit because I for one always feel like I'm going to smash into the back wall at what seems like three hundred kilometers an hour.

Anyhow, enough for this blog and 'll do something I don't often do;
Allow the pictures to mentally write the blog for you.
All I can say is it was an amazing walk.

Beers N Noodles toya...shane
