Hey Hey and a Big G'Day toya,

Happy New Year everyone,
Hope it was a safe and happy time.

How was my new year? Well I’m glad you asked.
We had almost a week off and guess who came to visit, Ting Ting!

The last time we caught up in person was last Chinese New Year when I went to Fujian to stay with her and her family and believe me, this years New Year was just as messy as last years. If you look at my post (a Kindergarten Christmas) British Rick and I had a fun adventurous day visiting several kindergartens around the city and we didn’t even have to dress up as 'ol Saint Nick. What we did have to do was pretend to pretend to be having a wonderful time and pose for the video camera that followed us around like that annoying mosquito on a balmy summer evening.

After that there were many nights filled with beer, wine and far too much food.

After Ting Ting left the party (to continue her party at her Sister’s wedding in Shanghai), things became quiet. Rick and Lucy headed to Beijing for New Years and I decided to hang out here to save money for my Winter Break. So this New Year was spent with Linda (my electric blanket – it’s an old Aussie commercial) and pillow watching all of the Jeepers Creepers movies along with a few Zombie flicks. Wasn’t the most amazing New Years in the history of me but it sure beat the one two or three years ago when it was snowing and we had no power for two days.

WOW! How is it that an entire month has passed by since the years drew as close as lovers to then turn their backs on each other and slowly separate as in a tragic comedy?

As for the freezing cold month of January?
Not much at all really, just a whole lot of eating.

Oh, I did catch some sort of bug and was down and out for several days shivering and shaking yet sweating so much that I dampened an entire quilt and the school had to bring a doctor to my room. A few fun filled days full of pills later I was thankfully up and doing the Beers N Noodles rounds again.

…and that brings us to where we are now.

 Which is the question of where this year’s (Chinese New Year) ‘Winter Beers N Noodles Adventure’ will find my pack and I. There were going to be Kangaroos, Koalas, Hairy Nosed Wombats, Goanna’s, Mosquito’s and BBQ’s involved but that’s best left to the Summer Beers N Noodles Adventure when I have two months off.

So for now the only answer I will offer is that;
I am hoping there will be sandals involved.
Beers N Noodles toya…..shane
