Ubud day

Ubud, Bali, Indonesia
Not much to write about today, most shops are closed for Gangulam and taxis are hard to come by. I thought I would go to see the Deli Cat in Ubud which Ravi Anscombe had told me about ( See photo) but it was closed too despite being run by westerners.
It was my first time in Ubud, OK I'm a slow learner, I've been in Penestanan all this time and saying I'm in Ubud . A lot flatter than here that's for sure but the heat still gets me.
I found a little heaven on earth cafe perched above the main street, Miro's Rooftop Garden which you can see from the pictures is very jungly. Nasi Goreng again and once again very good.
Walked back to Penestanan road looking vainly for taxi and saw a young man all done up in his Hindu gear sitting and smoking a clove cigarette. I sat next to him and we got talking and he offered to drive me home.
The people here are so friendly and nice it's hard to work up any story, unlike Vietnam where nutcases and damaged goods make life an ordeal sometimes but are more interesting to write about.
