Doha is een stad zoals Dubai. Een mooie skyline, veel bling bling en uiterlijk vertoon. Genoemde hoort natuurlijk bij de nieuwe (moderne) stad, daarnaast is er ook eenoude stad. Met dat in het achterhoofd is het wel leuk hier een paar dagen te vertoeven. Aangezien er niet superveel te zien is vandaag de dag begonnen met een duurloop. Vanuit het hotel naar de Corniche (boulevard). Deze is 6 km lang en met wat extra afstand uitgekomen op 16 km. Daarna mezelf opgefrist en hetzelfde stuk nog eens gewandeld om de City Centre mall te gaan bekijken. Dit zou het grootste warenhuis van het midden oosten zijn. Ik heb er mijn twijfels over. In ieder geval elk zich zelf respecterend merk heeft er zijn eigen shop en voor de liefhebbers is er een schaatsbaan.

Op de terugweg ook nog even rondgelopen door de straatjes bij het hotel . Morgen nog een paar dingen bekijken om vervolgens morgenavond naar het land van de rijzende zon te vliegen.

Doha is a city like Dubai. A beautiful skyline , lots of bling bling and ostentation. Mentioned is part of the new (modern) city, besides that there is still the old city. With that in mind, it is nice to stay here for a few days. As there is not that much to see here, today I decided to start with a distance run . From the hotel to the Corniche (boulevard) . It is 6 km long and with some extra distance I had 16 km at the end. After refreshing myself I walked the same part again to go to the City Centre mall . This should be the largest department store in the Middle East. I have my doubts . In any case, every self -respecting brand has its own shop and for the enthusiasts there is an ice rink.On the way back I also walked through the streets near the hotel . Tomorrow another look at a few things and then off to the land of the rising sun.
