Just an overnight stay this time, and we actually stayed in Longreach. We took the Isisford road via Emmet which entailed no more than 30klm of gravel road, it was also the shortest route back to Longreach.
We stopped briefly in Isisford to visit the Clancy Overflow Pub, but it wasn't even lunchtime so we moved on via the road to Ilfracombe. This travels through Wellshot station, which at it's peak was massive. The country on the drive was beautiful and the day brilliant sunshine.
After a couple of hours we were back in the caravan park and went to visit Arthur & Beryl to give them an update on Gundoo, the Gymkhana and any gossip we gathered...but we don't repeat gossip, so listen carefully the first time!
