A short story....after flying to Cairns last night we were picked up by good mate Karen, had dinner at a kinky, hippie restaurant on Meatchans Beach then spent the night at Karen's unit. 10am today saw us at Global Food & Wine to pick up the Patrol and the Lotus Inn. A tedious drive up the range to Kuranda, on to Mareeba for fuel, water and supplies.

Our destination is Innot, home of some locally famous hot springs. Just what the doctor prescribed, along with a few rum'n'cokes! We spent an hour or more soaking in the pools of various temperatures from cool to bloody hot, happy hour happily by ourselves then dinner, followed by another stint in the tubs till about 10pm.

This we had been talking about for three weeks and it was every bit as good as we wished. The park was grassy, shaded and peaceful. Admittedly after the past three weeks we were pretty contemplative and somewhat sad...that's allowed for now.
