Third night at sea

Paihia, Northland, New Zealand
Soon the sun will rise on the 4 days of our trip. We passed the 180 meridian yesterday so we went one day back. For us it is now 27 April (again)...all is well here in the middle of the ocean. It is getting warmer by the day since we are moving up north and are now under the 30th parallel. We had rather strong winds so far and a well formed sea, but tonight it is a little more settle. Still we don't venture on the deck too often and stay mostly in the cockpit and the cabin. Can't walk around without holding on to something...we have just passed the island of Raoul part of the Kermelec archipelago (that belongs to New Zealand). Te Kaihau behaves very well even when the sea is a bit rough. The only serious issue is that we lost the little propeller that drags behind the boat, at the end of a long rope, to produce electricity. The rope detached itself and the propeller must now be lying at the bottom of the ocean where it is no use to anyone...while here, we have to rely solely on our solar panels to recharge our batteries. So far it is enough but we have switched off every electrical equipment (fridge, computers, GPS) to keep only the auto pilot. Now we must find a southerly wind to take us to the Australes because our current direction is taking us to the Cook Island. Let's see....
Not sure when I will be able to upload this, but will try.
