Fourth day

Paihia, Northland, New Zealand
Day 4 is ending nicely. The wind has changed a little so we can now sail closer to the direction of the Australes. Still we are not sure to make it. It could be that we end up in the Cook Islands or even Tonga. We shall wait to see what the wind will do.
Last night 7 flying fishes landed in our nets. Not that we are fishing but the nets are between the main haul and the floats. Remember, Te Kaihau is a trimaran. Anyway, at the end the seven fishes ended up in a sauce pan with butter and gave us a delicious lunch!
Managed to break another piece of hardware, a sort of rail that runs on the deck and where the front sail (the genoa) is attached. Thomas did a temporary repair but the list of what we need to fix when we reach Tahiti is getting longer by the day...
Still a little low on electricity, just enough sunshine to charge the batteries for the auto pilot. Don't what we shall do if we get 2 rainy days...
