TOOT TOOT!

Sydney, New South Wales, Australia
After spending our last night apart for quite a while, we were reunited at White Bay Cruise Terminal.

After dodging the numerous taxi’s that were dropping people off, we unloaded our six pieces of luggage from the car and gave it to the lovely luggage handlers .

Passports were checked and cruise cards handed out. Then it was time to say our goodbyes and things got emotional.

After clearing customs and the x-ray machines, we boarded the ship and attempted to find our cabin. We eventually located it and after dropping off our backpacks headed back outside to wave our chauffeurs goodbye again.

Once the goodbyes were over it was time head to the buffet for some lunch and then back to the cabin for the epic effort of unpacking 3 months of clothes.

At 3:15 sharp it was time for the emergency muster drill followed by the sail away party, where while serenaded by a Beatles tribute band we passed under the harbour bridge and opera house.

Since we’re not due to have dinner until the second sitting at 7:45, we had a quick nibble and went back to continue the task of unpacking .

Our dinner mates seem lovely and the conversation was good. No one offended anyone else (at least I don’t think so) and the food was pleasant.

After a long day, we retired to bed to get some serious shut eye. Here’s hoping the sunrise lamp does its job and we don’t wake up at 2pm!

Fun fact:
While not exactly a fun fact and even though it doesn’t really keep with the ‘cruise theme’ on my very recent adventure to Brisbane one of the best quotes heard at a recent function was “It’s not a wedding unless there is a fire and broken glass”. True to form there were both!
